From darkrooms to wagging tails — this is how Paw Shots ATX began.

I fell in love with photography as a kid — I’d take pictures of anything and everything: flowers, buildings, animals, family, friends. The magic of creating images (on film!) was all I needed to know this was my thing.

At 17, after completing a professional Photography Certificate, I co-founded a photo studio while studying my Bachelor in Advertising. That was back in 2004. Since then, my passion has grown — lighting, framing, editing… it’s all evolved, and so have I.

Fast forward to 2022 — I moved to Austin and instantly felt the pet-loving energy of this city. It’s contagious. And during COVID, I adopted Nasa (my cat and unexpected muse) — with lights, camera, and lots of time indoors, she became my star model. That’s when it clicked: pets bring joy, and I want to capture it.

That’s what Paw Shots ATX is all about — professional studio pet portraits that freeze their personality in time. No “say cheese,” no posing — just moments. Sometimes, the hardest part is getting dogs to staaaay still… but I always get the shot with some help (treats!)

Whether they’re full of energy or sweet and shy, every pet has a story — and I’m here to capture it.
